The Three Types of Automatic Car Wash
Today's automatic car wash systems fall into three basic
categories: Touch, Touch-free, and Conveyors. Here is a brief
description of each category of automatic car wash equipment:
A
Touch automatic car wash uses cloth or a cloth-like
material as the primary cleaning medium. The materials that
touch the car can be cloth, polyfilament or, on the most
advanced systems, a foam co-polymer material such as Ryko's
patented FoamBrite.
Touch
automatic car wash equipment provides the best cleaning
and, with the new technologies, is gentler on the vehicle.
A
Touch-free automatic car wash uses chemicals and
high-impact water spray to clean the vehicle. No other material
touches the vehicle. Ryko has two styles of touch-free
equipment: one rides on rails mounted to the floor of
the wash bay, and the other is wall-mounted
A
Conveyor automatic car wash is usually a touch car
wash system. The owner of the vehicle activates the system,
and then a conveyor pulls the vehicle through the wash.
This type of automatic
car wash equipment is designed for high volume locations
and is more labor intensive.
